The match quickly settles into a technical showcase, with Chasyn Rance testing his young apprentice using the very fundamentals he’s drilled into her. The opening exchanges feature clean grappling, counters, and transitions as Koven demonstrates how far she’s come, refusing to be overwhelmed despite being repeatedly tied up in a variety of holds. Even a passing driver briefly slows down, unknowingly catching a front-row seat to the action.
Rance gradually turns up the pressure, forcing Koven to expend energy defending herself. He stretches her out with an abdominal stretch, but Koven refuses to stay quiet, talking smack and cursing at her mentor while fighting through the pain. Chasyn responds by digging deeper into his arsenal, chaining together punishing holds including camel clutches, a scorpion deathlock, a banana split, a cobra clutch, and more, each one designed to sap the fight out of her.
Just when it seems the tide may be permanently shifting, Koven fires back with one of the newest weapons she’s learned — the Flying Octopus — catching Chasyn off guard and proving she’s not just surviving, but evolving. She nearly steals the match with a sudden sunset flip, but Rance narrowly escapes and reasserts control before the count can settle.
From there, Chasyn goes on the offensive in ruthless fashion. He crushes Koven in the corner and targets her midsection with deliberate strikes. Koven digs deep once more, rallying and launching herself from the second rope with a crossbody attempt — but Chasyn is ready. He catches her mid-air and drives her down with a devastating backbreaker that changes the momentum instantly.
The punishment continues in waves: a brutal torture rack, two sharp atomic drops, and a grueling Mexican Surfboard stretch leave Koven visibly weakened. Finally, Chasyn locks in a tight sleeper hold, squeezing until Koven fades and drops unconscious, bringing the match to its decisive conclusion.
Showing a rare moment of care after the bell, Chasyn massages Koven to bring her back around. But the story doesn’t end quietly. As Koven regains her footing, frustration boils over. She lashes out with a sudden kick attempt — and lands a knee squarely to Chasyn’s lower region.
Koven makes it clear she’s far from satisfied with the outcome, and with emotions running high, one thing is certain: this rivalry isn’t over — and there’s more still to come.
